FORT COLLINS, Colorado — (January 29, 2015) — Sustainable Power Systems was one of twelve companies chosen for Colorado’s premier incubator, Innosphere. SPS was one of four companies with advanced technologies for the oil and gas industry — a microgrid solution for off-grid oil-pumping that incorporates high penetration renewable energy with a traditional diesel system. SPS is able to cut energy costs in half while lowering GHG emissions even further. In addition, SPS can address flaring issues. Innosphere will provide key business support to Sustainable Power Systems as a Colorado high-growth company that is raising a series A round.
CALGARY, Alberta — (January 28, 2015) — Sustainable Power Systems traveled to Canada and brought back a second place win and $15,000 in cash. As the only non-Canadian company to make the finals, Sustainable Power Systems was excited to be representing US (and specifically Colorado) clean tech and energy companies. SPS’s COO, Adam Cahn states, “We’ve got great microgrid products and a strong value proposition, but the key in Calgary was to communicate a compelling story to investors and industry executives.” Cahn continues, “This event focused on helping Calgary continue to emerge as a leader in the energy space, so I knew the competition was going to be tough — the other teams were very impressive. HOUSTON, Texas – (September 15, 2014) – SUSTAINABLE POWER SYSTEMS of Boulder, Colorado was presented with the Most Promising Energy and Clean Technology Venture Award at the Rice Alliance Energy and Clean Technology Venture Forum. SUSTAINABLE POWER SYSTEMS is developing the world’s first Universal Microgrid ControllerTM to combine multiple types of power generation (e.g., wind, solar and diesel), load management, and energy storage for all types of microgrids including island, village, industrial, military and grid-tied microgrids.
